Operational objectives
  • Apply the skills acquired in the course to a professional context, whether these are technical skills (ability to write an E-category analysis) or soft skills (ability to defend the analysis in front of a jury of E-commerce industrial and/or retailer professionals).
Practical information
  • 2 half-days of training (7 hours)
  • From 9:30am to 12:30pm and from 1:30pm to 5pm

For whom?

Junior or Senior Category Manager, Key Account Manager, Junior E-commerce Manager, Junior Digital Manager, Category Supply Manager, Sales Force, Marketing Manager, Store Manager or Foodtech Business Developer, who wish to develop their e-commerce skills.

Prerequisites
  • Have some experience in the retail industry, a pure player or a consumer product company.
  • Preliminary interview
  • Positioning Quiz (for ACTINCO certification applicants)
Targeted competencies
  • The targeted skills are validated after the completion of the quiz and the presentation of an E-Category recommendation

Part 1: Knowledge validation

  • Individual test: 30 minutes maximum per participant (a 20 minute  presentation, and a 10 to 15 minute exchange with the jury)

Pedagogical approach
  • The final test is organized around two assessments: a quiz and the presentation of the E-Category recommendation.

The quiz:

  • It consists of around ten questions that test knowledge, practice and posture.
  • It will be given in situ during the first hour and will last 30 minutes maximum.

The presentation of the E-category recommendation

  • Each participant presents his or her recommendation , to a panel of professionals. That recommendation is developed throughout the course using tools and analysis.
  • During this presentation, the participant will have the opportunity to discuss with the jury and benefit from their recommendations for the next stage of their professional project.
  • The other participants attend the presentation and feedback for collective learning

This training is led by Françoise Acca. Its content has been co-designed with experts in E-commerce.

  • Consultant at the Institut du Commerce (ECR France) since 2011, she leads the « E-commerce », « Convenience store », « E-retail media » and « Data model » work groups.
  • Lecturer of Retail Management at Edhec.
  • More than 15 years of experience in Retail Marketing at Carrefour and 10 years in E-commerce.
  • Contributor to the publications “Category Management Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow 2020” and “Boîte à outils études et Diagnostic Catégoriel 2013”.
